Funerals

“Since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have died.” — 1 Thessalonians 4:14, 17–18

Our Hope

We believe that God values every human life, and that the Christian tradition holds firm faith in resurrection and eternal life beyond death. That hope does not make loss any less painful — we recognise that each person experiences grief differently, according to their own relationship with the person who has died.

What a Funeral Service Does

A funeral service gathers the community to remember the person who has died, express gratitude for their life, commit them to God’s mercy, and offer comfort to those who grieve through the promise of resurrection.

We commit to praying for all those whose funerals we conduct, and to offering practical and emotional support to grieving families.
